Privacy Policy

Kenworth Ontario (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through it, why we collect it, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to meet our obligations under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for commercial email, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect, and when
We collect personal information you choose to give us through a form on this site.

We do not ask for, and we ask that you do not send us, payment card details, Social Insurance Numbers or health information through this website.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and to contact you about it.
- To book service, process a parts order, or assess a financing enquiry.
- To assess an application for employment.
- To send you marketing email, only where you have given us consent, and only until you withdraw it.
- To detect and block spam submissions.
The financing questions about bankruptcy, repossessions and collections are used to route your enquiry to the right person. If you would rather not answer them online, please contact a branch directly instead.
Consent for marketing email (CASL)
We send commercial email only where we have your express or implied consent, and we record which applies and when it was given. Every commercial message includes an unsubscribe link and our identity and contact details. You can withdraw consent at any time, using that link or by contacting us, and we will act on it promptly. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop us replying to an enquiry you have made.
Who else sees it
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our instructions, and only as much as they need to run this website:
- our web hosting provider, where this site and its customer database are stored;
- our email delivery provider, which sends the notification and marketing email.
Your information is also seen by the Kenworth Ontario staff who handle your enquiry — for example the branch or department you selected, or our HR team for a job application.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We will not disclose it to anyone else without your consent, except where the law requires us to, or where we need to protect our legal rights.
Résumés
Résumés are sent to our HR team as an email attachment, and a copy is kept on the website server. Those stored files are not publicly accessible — the folder they sit in refuses web requests, and the files can be retrieved only by an administrator through the hosting account.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets a small number of first-party cookies — cookies set by this site, readable only by this site. They come from the customer-relationship system that powers our forms, and they are:

Together these let us see how an enquiry came about and avoid showing you the same form repeatedly. They are set when you first visit and do not identify you by name unless and until you submit a form.
This website runs no third-party analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no cross-site tracking. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager and no Meta/Facebook pixel on this site. We verified this on 8 October 2026 by loading the site and recording every network request and cookie it produced.
Pages that embed a Google Map load that map from Google, and links to other websites are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy at the same time.
How long we keep it
To be confirmed by Kenworth Ontario before launch: Retention periods are Kenworth Ontario’s decision and are not yet set. Three answers are needed: how long enquiry records stay in the customer database; how long unsuccessful job applications and their résumés are kept (6 to 12 months then deleted is the common practice); and how long financing enquiries are kept. Once decided, state each period plainly in this section.
How we protect it
This website is served over HTTPS. The customer database sits behind an administrator login. Stored résumés are blocked from public access. Access is limited to the staff who need it. No website can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take steps appropriate to how sensitive the information is.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
- withdraw your consent to marketing email.
Contact us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To be confirmed by Kenworth Ontario before launch: PIPEDA expects an organisation to make an individual accountable for privacy compliance. Kenworth Ontario has not named one to us. Either name that person or role here, or confirm that privacy requests should simply go to the contact route below.

If you need this policy, or any information on this website, in another format, or you need communication support, please contact us. We will provide it in a timely way and at no additional cost, as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requires.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
